We'll be adding to this calendar throughout the season, so check back! We've been going strong for 20 years, and we're looking forward to the next 20! Look for the return of Braves Vs. Squaws Softball, the Old Timers Celebration, our annual Chili Cookoff and more! Email cherokeelodgeresort@gmail.com to request our newsletter.
2nd Wednesday of Each Month: Family Potluck Dinner
A new tradition among our residents! Guests are welcome to bring a dish.
Anytime: Tour Our Residential Area!
Come on home to Cherokee! Take a tour of our residential area, and you’ll see why Cherokee is an ideal location for a weekend retreat or permanent residence. A great locale for a getaway cabin! Situated in the heart of the beautiful Cumberland Plateau, Crossville has something for everyone: Theatre, world-class golf courses, music venues, historic sites, festivals, outdoor recreation, extreme sports and even the world’s longest annual yard sale! We have several lots for sale or rent that have been cleared and approved. Septic, electric and water have been installed! Please call the office for rental information or to discuss purchase options and see how affordable “a little bit of heaven” can be.
May 24-27: Memorial Day Celebration
This is our biggest annual celebration with hundreds of visitors, so call to reserve your room, RV lot or cabin now! You can bet your britches this will be a weekend of great food and fun with live entertainment, sports and more! Miss Willow of Tennessee Medicinals will be with us and she will have a booth set up for displaying and demonstrating many of her wonderful products! She produces a line of all-natural herbal soaps & salves, potions and lotions, and you can visit Miss Willow’s website to get a sneak preview of her products. Miss Willow may bring some of her fellow vendors with her, and the Chief's itching to bring out his vintage hit & miss engine collection! We bet he'll be grinding corn meal before the day is up. Grab the gang, load up the truck and come on out to Cherokee!

June 15: Pickin' and Grinnin'
Most everybody at Cherokee is always grinning, but we figured we could use a little more picking. No, we don’t mean picking on the Chief about his age (though he don’t look a day over thirty) or picking at the chiggers you might get if you go hiking the back forty without any bug repellant. We’re talking guitars and banjos and whatever kind of instrument you might have. Pack ‘em in the car, come on out to Cherokee and join us on the porch at sundown for an old-fashioned southern jam. Dinner, drinkin’ and dancin’ to follow!

June 22: Trail's End Car Show
The Chief’s something of a car collector, and we’ve noticed a fair number of our guests have some pretty stylish rides, so we decided to host an event for all of our classic car owners and admirers. Drive your classic car, truck, bike or camper to visit us this weekend! Our usual crowd of skinny-dippers will have an opportunity to vote on the best set of wheels, and the winner gets a pair of t-shirts and some other gifts! We’ll have great food and music all day, so come on out!

July 4-7: Fourth of July Celebration
This is one of our big summer celebrations with hundreds of visitors, so call to reserve your room, RV lot or cabin now! It will be a weekend of great food and fun with live entertainment, sports and more!
July 8-14: Nude Recreation Week™
The founders of the Naturist Society started Nude Recreation Week 38 years ago, and Cherokee is glad to help keep the tradition alive!
July 13: World Record Skinny-Dip
Folks will once again gather at clubs and nude beaches across the country to help break the world record for the most people skinny-dipping at once. Our members and visitors helped set the 2010 record of 13,000. We hope to break that record in 2013!
July 20: Squaws Vs. Braves Softball
The squaws insist they won last year’s softball game fair and square, but the braves swear they cheated. Those of us watching from the sidelines couldn’t tell one way or the other, but it sure was fun to watch. The only way to settle this dispute is with a rematch! Dinner, drinkin’ and dancin’ to follow!
July 27: Squaws Vs. Braves Volleyball
The Chief figures the squaws and braves will still be fussing and fighting long after the softball game is called, so he says we should try to get the two sides to a volleyball match. The feuding likely won’t be settled, but it’ll sure be entertaining! Dinner, drinkin’ and dancin’ to follow!
August 3: World's NUDEST Yard Sale
The World’s Longest Yard Sale passes through these parts every year, so it seems fitting that we should hold the World’s NUDEST Yard Sale. Bring your antiques from the attic, produce from the garden and treasures from the garage. Setup is cheap, clothing is optional, but space is limited! Call the office for details.
August 30 - September 2: Labor Day Celebration
This is one of our big summer celebrations with hundreds of visitors, so call to reserve your room, RV lot or cabin now! It will be a weekend of great food and fun with live entertainment, sports and more!
November 2: Halloween Hootenanny
Wear your costumes (or not) and join our pumpkin carving contest!
Events are added weekly and are subject to change without notice!
